You Owe Me

When we look around the world we see a a lot of people going thru a sense of frustration. Frustrated due to the lack of control over their lives and the actions of other. Many of us feel more at peace when we can guarantee results and plan so as to attain the maximum. While we move about seeking to make sure, we increasingly learn that we are not able to control every aspect of life. For some this moment breaks them and they enter into a downward spiral of panic and fear, for others this motivates them to try harder, while other accept it and move onwards. Some move on awaiting their chance and others give up refusing to hope for goodness to meet them. So while acceptance may appear healthy, it is important to answer why the choice was taken up. When we give up on life, hope and the visions that once pulled us up each morning. We may become very angry at life and someone else, indeed anyone else. The rise of nationalistic feelings in the Covid Era, is a direct response to the frust...

Stop the Churn

There are times in life that are filled with applause and celebration and other times that are full of silence. When I look at what has been going on in the world, I see that the greatest danger in the world is not ignorance but assumptions.  Some may view them as the same thing, but they are not ignorance is far more acceptable than assumptions. When a teacher walks into a class room or a new boss into a an office or a new student into a group. The dangerous group or individuals, most prone to endangering any progress of relationship building and thus progress, as those with assumptions rather than those who are plainly ignorant.  When I am in a relationship, be it with a new friendship or a family member, the danger to our relationship is the actions and words that are spoken based on ones assumptions. Assumptions hold that we are supposed to understand things outside what is presented.  The missed expectations are amplified and become catalyst to disassociation.  ...

My teacher - Suffering

Personal Book Study  As I was sharing my testimony with a new friend online, I celebrated the removal of all boarders and limitations in communication, the new openness is not just for education, talking to friends or connections for business. The removal of limitations has meant an increase in structural support and guidance. When one is low or fearful and struggling through a journey the internet is a source of structure and aid from people across the world.     In the book Crawling out of the Darkness, the author reflects on the story of an employee who sought greener pastures but ended up abused at her new place of occupation. The abuse ranged from verbal, physical, psychological and emotional, at the beginning the abuse was with subtlety and then followed with a gradual growth into more viciousness that climaxed into physical abuse and a repeated hint of potential sexual harm. In the narrative she shared the mistakes she made, the errors of indecision, the f...

Is it a "Youth" eat Youth World

Transitioning management of companies from old youthful horses to young people across all sectors   The first lesson of getting into management is that no one is irreplaceable, so you have come into a job what is left is your move out. This should not be a bad thing. Movement in companies reflects growth and progress. If there is personal stagnation there is generally loss of potential institutional growth. So why do people fear movement, leaving a job, seeking higher posting or going into new areas.   Zimbabwean institutional challenges may be narrated in historical terms. Skilled specialists in low level areas held a culture of mythical stagnation. In the 1960 tradition, submission and obedience were key words. Things would be done in the old ways. The teacher in handcraft/practical jobs would never teach the student everything for fear of becoming ill relevant. The student would be discouraged to try innovation for innovation means failure and thus death of a caree...

What is the wonderer doing?

What is the wonderer doing?  The migration story is usually in the news because of the tragic loss of lives that dare to cross the seas or seek a seat by the wheels of planes. As people seek space to travel the world for a better life. The idea that migration is about adults who seek to act out is only part of the story. Migration is also the story of the youth and the child. The migraines child who seeks to make life better and drops out of school, trusting in the future. The teachers who cry at potential lost and hope deferred that had made the heart sick and weak. The suffering of the mother who looks at her child, wondering will she ever the child again.  The migration story is more than economics to some its live and death, progress and total failure, though only economics makes its equitable for management and business of politics and development. Migration is the move people make, as individuals who may be broken and  frustrated seek change. Regardless of th...

The Great Oracle

The Great Oracle    Waking up seems such a hurdle. Yet world is back to business, sort of at least. Those most visited by the radical public who dare to move out of security the cage of submission, are the businesses that offer the least restrictions. Those who do not remind the world of dearth, death and danger that held us prisoner. Mankind rises up to rebel against all. The cry against leaders — the response bottled in after days enclosed — we will no longer be controlled , against nature which dared to roam the streets of power. nature that did not seek to celebrate the vision of progress but rather caused division amidst men, men shouts back we will not be overtaken.  How can we live in ruins when the city is habituated, how can we not arise when the battle is beyond, to live, to express to be that is the battle cry. We must do something, anything but wait to be consumed. But where to go? What to do? How to finish it all and why bother when there seem to ...
